The Polku wooden balance beam by Fitwood is a fun and creative balance training track for children. Like a traditional gymnastics balance beam, it is designed to encourage children's creativity while promoting the development of their gross motor skills and balance ability. With its beams of different shapes, it offers endless possibilities to create fun and challenging tracks that are not only ideal for children to learn to balance their bodies according to changes in level and direction but also to unleash their imagination by exploring and designing different types of tracks. The beams can, for example, take the shape of an ice cream, a car, a bear, or a lemon – your imagination is the only limit!

In addition to being an ideal product for developing motor skills and creativity, the Polku wooden balance beam is also perfect for children to learn social skills and how to play with others when building tracks with their friends. With our wide variety of beams, we guarantee that this product will provide hours and hours of fun activities for your children – playing as if the floor is lava, competing with friends, or setting rules on how to cross certain types of beams are just a few of the many ways children enjoy playing with them!

The Polku balance beam is available in three different sets: small, medium, and large. All sets consist of different beams and connectors. In total, there are four types of beams: long and straight, short and straight, long and curved, and two types of connecting pieces that can be stacked on top of each other for more height and challenge.

POLKU Small is a perfect option for younger children who have already learned to walk and are ready to start exploring their balance and coordination abilities. We recommend starting by placing the beams on the floor without the connectors and getting familiar with the track before raising it higher above floor level.

When the child has already gained some experience in body balance and walking on beams, POLKU Medium is an excellent choice to increase the level of challenge and to build the first tracks. The Medium model can also be easily added to an existing Small set to allow greater variation when your child has gained some balance experience and is ready to move to the next level.

For more advanced balancers and daring beam track designers, we have POLKU Large, which has a total of 8 beams and 10 connectors to create the most imaginative tracks. POLKU Large is definitely the preferred option when several children want to play with the track at the same time or if you simply want to offer your little creators more beams to play and explore!

The POLKU balance beam is designed in Finland and made in the EU from sustainably sourced birch plywood. It comes with a two-year warranty for private use.
